Rotary Club Grant Opportunity

Request for Proposals

The Rotary Club of Gettysburg contributes to Adams County through volunteer service and charitable grants to local nonprofits in keeping with the humanitarian goals of Rotary.

The Rotary Club of Gettysburg Charitable Fund announces a competitive request for proposals, for up to $2,000 for projects that advance the following Rotary causes:

  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Disease Prevention and Treatment
  • Basic Education and Literacy
  • Supporting the Environment
  • Economic and Community Development
  • Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution
  • Clean Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene.

Eligibility:

  • 50l(c)(3) non-profit organizations that qualify to receive deductible contributions as described in IRS publication 526.
  • The applicant organization must have, or explain why it is exempt from having a current Pennsylvania Bureau of Corporations and Charitable Organizations certificate.
  • Nonprofits that benefit Adams County residents.
  • Grants should support a new project or expand an existing program. Grant funds cannot support programs already completed.
  • Grants cannot be used to cover routine expenditures, salaries, cash awards/prizes, or expenses for fundraising.
  • Projects must be completed within six months from the date of the award announcement.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit:

  • Narrative describing intended use of the grant funds and how it advances one or more of Rotary’s causes. Include audience/number to be served, itemized budget, expected measurable outcomes. Any expenses above the grant award will be the responsibility of the applicant. No more than 3 pages (12 pt).
  • IRS determination letter & PA BCO number.
  • Board of Directors list with affiliations.
  • Organization’s current and annual operating budget, including expenses and revenue.
  • A final project report with numbers served, impacts, and results will be due 2 weeks following completion of the project. Photographs/video, newspaper/print items documenting project results should be included with the final report.
  • Postmark application on or before February 15 to the following address.
