Competitive Grant Programs

The Adams County Community Foundation offers a variety of competitive grant programs, scholarships, and special initiatives to meet community needs. Grants are also awarded from donor-advised and designated funds created by donors for specific purposes; these funds are not open for grant applications.

Competitive Grant Programs

Adams County Grants are distributed twice a year through a letter of intent and competitive grant process. Nonprofits serving residents of Adams County,  Pennsylvania may apply. 

The Adams County Fund for the Environment seeks to make environmental stewardship a shared community value in Adams County, Pennsylvania. The Fund makes grants that support environmental education, local environmental projects and programs that educate our community around environmental issues.

The Barbara B. Ernico Fund for Leadership Development provides grants to nonprofit organizations for building executive leadership capacity within their organizations.

Grants from The Fund for Littlestown support community needs in the town of Littlestown, PA.

The Shirley Smith Youth Service Fund supports young people between the ages of 14-24 who desire to do service projects or mission work.

Grants from the WellSpan Emergency Services Fund encourage nonprofit, community-based emergency medical services (EMS) providers in Adams County to work toward a more coordinated, regional EMS system.
